New Orleans-based Beth Patterson gathers musical influences like she's cooking up a simmering pot of spicy gumbo to share with her audiences. Added to the mix are sonic flavors of Celtic, West African, Indian, Balkan, and Indonesian music, with a dash of progressive rock. With a voice 'pure enough to cut glass, and inviting and sensuous as fire', you might want to ask for the recipe.

Saxophone meets strings this Sunday, as Nick Russoniello Ensemble presents 'Between Worlds'; an innovative album by Russoniello and the Acacia String Quartet, which erodes the borders of genre and tradition; allowing the music to flow free.
